Margie Jindra, 97

Margie Jindra, 97, of Montgomery passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Central Health Care in Le Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 18 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with funeral service at 11 a.m., all held at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery. Masks are encouraged.

Margie was born on January 29, 1924, to Charles and Tillie (Koldin) Hruby in Rice County. She attended Country School District No. 104 in Wheatland Township and attended Montgomery High School.

Prior to her marriage she was employed at Munsingwear Inc. in Montgomery. Margie Hruby married Leonard J. Jindra on June 4, 1945, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lonsdale.

Following their marriage they engaged in farming in Montgomery Township. She was a homemaker, loved cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, loved to listen to Old-Time Music. She loved her family, and her grandchildren were the love of her life.

Margie is survived by her children, Roman (Betty) Jindra of Montgomery, Gerald (Mary) Jindra Le Center, Larry (Irene) Jindra of Montgomery, and Duane Jindra of Montgomery; grandchildren, Diane, Debbie, Jessica, Andy, Katie and Kelly; and great-grandchildren, Carson, Allison, Olivia, Theo, Ayden, Hailey and Riley; and sister, Ludy Malecha.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in August 22, 2002; her parents; and brother, Charlie Hruby.
