Sheriff’s department donates decorated tree to family in need
The Le Sueur County Sheriff’s Department is making magic.
On Friday, Dec. 4, Sheriff Brett Mason and his staff delivered a fully decorated Christmas tree to a Le Sueur County family in need. “Project: Believe in the Magic of Christmas” was organized by Mason, The Mounted Posse, and The Sheriff’s Youth Project.
The two organizations donated the bare tree and set it up in the lobby of the Le Sueur County Justice Center. Mason said the new project falls in line with their mission statement to do things for the community.
“Every quarter I sit down with my staff and discuss things going on in the community. We decided to do this because of everything going on with the pandemic,” Mason said. To determine who would receive the tree, Mason reached out to....
