The Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce reported having between 70 and 72 memberships, including two businesses, Rise and Shine Nutrition and Roots on Oak, who were recognized as new members at the Chamber’s Oct. 27 meeting. Franke’s Bakery was also recognized as having “rejoined.”
It was also reported that 2,000 cards were printed for the Chamber’s eight-week Shop Local campaign, which runs from November 1 through December. Shoppers will be entered into a drawing for $50 for every $100 card they complete. (Note: $50 will be awarded every week during the campaign instead of the larger amounts that were awarded last year.) Packets have been delivered to participating businesses.
