Degree of Honor celebrates members reaching 50 years

Sitting around a u-shaped table set-up at Montgomery City Hall on an average Wednesday, Oct. 25, were a group of humble, happy, kind and welcoming people meeting as members of the Degree of Honor. The celebration this month — acknowledging the members that have made it to 50 years with the organization.
Members Mark Richter, Mary (Ruhland) Tupy and Stacey (Pan) Brown all received a special pin from Degree of Honor from the Montgomery chapter president, JoAnn Petricka, in commemoration of their milestone.
There was nothing else too special about this meeting. They gathered, had a homecooked meal with homemade dessert and talked with one another. Then, they had their business meeting so they could get on to more important things — bingo. “The best part is we play bingo. Well, sometimes it is bingo but other times it may be playing cards or Bunko,” said Brown.
