Virginia I. Hickey, 84 of Springfield, IL, passed away at 9:44 a.m., Saturday, March 14, 2026, at The Arch of Sangamon Valley. She was born July 22, 1941, in Madison, WI, the daughter of the late Gordon and Jean Neff. She married John F. Hickey on January 28, 1961, and he survives.

Fr. George Jerome Grafsky, age 81, of Montgomery, Minnesota, died on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Cura Healthcare Center in Le Sueur.

Fr. George was born on March 10, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the only child of George and Rosemary (Hayne) Grafsky. He was raised in West St. Paul, where his Catholic faith took root at a young age and would remain the guiding foundation for his entire life. From childhood through his final days, his devotion to God and service to others shaped everything he did.

Leona Cecelia Finken, age 88, passed away on April 4, 2026, at her Lakeside Memory Care residence in Plymouth. 

Anna Marie Rosival, age 76, of Lonsdale, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home.

Visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Shieldsville with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Timothy Sandquist officiating. Interment will be held in the Trebon Cemetery in Shieldsville.

Rita Ann Stasney, age 94, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Central Health Care in Le Center.

Rita was born as a twin with her brother, Richard, on December 15, 1931, in Montgomery Township, Le Sueur County, to Frank and Agnes (Schleis) Choudek. She grew up on the family farm near Montgomery and attended St. Raphael Catholic School through the eighth grade. She graduated from Montgomery High School in 1949.

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Iverson, age 67, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born to Richard and Doris (Perkinson) Krenik. She grew up in Montgomery and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1977 before continuing her education at Mankato State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1981.

Kathryn Malone, age 96, of Montgomery, died Monday, March 16, 2026, at Traditions of Montgomery. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery on March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.

"Happy Holidays!" That was John's signature greeting, and whenever he spoke it, he instantly filled the room with warmth and cheer. His presence made everyone feel welcome, a true reflection of the joy and kindness he shared with all who knew him.

John Joseph Radermacher, age 72, of Le Center, MN, passed away on March 13, 2026, at his home.

Janice “Jan” Rosella Madonna, age 70, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, surrounded by family, love, and the memories of a life well lived.

Jan was known for her warm heart, joyful spirit, and deep love for family and friends. Anyone who knew Jan knew she loved anything Barbie. As a devoted vintage Barbie dealer and collector, she found great joy in sharing that passion with others and served as President of the Lady Slipper Doll Club.

Gerard "Jerry" Emmett McCue, age 78, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.

Marlene Joanne Hanek, age 84, of Montgomery, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health System in New Prague.

Max Prange, age 35, of New Prague, peacefully went with God after receiving his final blessing surrounded by family after a sudden illness on February 16, 2026. Max was born into his earthly life on February 19, 1990, and was raised on a dairy and crop farm in rural Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. Throughout his years he treasured his generational family farm; he grew a love for the land and the animals. He developed a strong work ethic that would stay with him throughout his life. Max succeeded at everything he did.

Harvey Eugene Chapman, age 85, of Montgomery, MN, passed away peacefully in his favorite chair on his farm on February 16, 2026.

Kathleen “Katie” Scheel was a beautiful wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, among the many roles she carried with quiet strength and grace throughout her life. A woman of deep integrity, unwavering faith, and boundless kindness, Katie lived her values rather than simply speaking them. Her love was steady, her compassion sincere, and her actions, always thoughtful and selfless, spoke far louder than words ever could.

Randall “Randy” Lee Ellman, aged 64, of Charles City, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at his home.

Born on April 11, 1961, in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Randy was the son of Vincent and Delores (Johnson) Ellman. Randy enjoyed many activities, including spending time with his loved ones, camping, fishing, gambling and eating ice cream with dots every evening.

Evelyn Elizabeth Barabash, age 79, of Montgomery, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at St. Mary Hospital in Rochester.

Evelyn was born on March 5, 1946, in Minneapolis, to David and Louise (Corbine) Belille. She was raised in New Prague, where she attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School. Among her siblings and cousins, she was lovingly known by the nickname “Paper Doll”.
