Big second half lead TCU past Sibley East

The TCU girls basketball team trailed Sibley East by one point at halftime of their Dec. 20 Minnesota River Conference (MRC) game.

The Titans put together a great second half, outscoring the Wolverines by 16 in the second half to pick up a 51-36 win. It was their second MRC win and moved them into fourth place in the conference.

“I felt that by only being down by one at the half we were in good shape if we could do a better job of getting everyone more involved offensively,” head coach Don Marcussen said. “In the second half we did a better job taking care of the basketball and we also got to the free throw line 20 times. We only made 11 of them but these were big points for us.”

Balanced scoring, with nine players putting the ball into the basket, helped the team improve to 3-4 overall.
