Norman “Norm” Turek, 82
Norman “Norm” Turek, age 82, of Montgomery passed away battling the awful disease of Lewy-Body Dementia on Sunday, March 24, 2024, in the arms of his wife at Elysian Senior Home in Northfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. with Memorial Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. all held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Shieldsville with Fr. Tom Niehaus officiating. Interment will be held in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Lewy-Body Dementia Association.
Norm was born on August 16, 1941, in Montgomery to Frank A. and Annastaisa (Landa) Turek. He was a graduate of Montgomery High School. Norm was united in marriage to Gladys (Sirek) on October 21, 1961, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, gardening, and especially spending time with family and grandchildren.
Norm is survived by his wife, Gladys Turek of Montgomery; children, Susan (Tim) Pan of Montgomery, Shelly (Peter) Janda of Edina, Pam (Tim) Schloesser of Le Center, and David (Jennifer) Turek of Montgomery; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
Norm is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rita Snorek.
