The TCU boys track and field team landed in second place at the Le Sueur-Henderson Giant Relays on Friday, May 10 with 135.50 points, behind Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School’s first place finish of 179.50 points.
The Titan girls team finished in the middle of the pack of nine visiting schools with a fifth place finish of 110 points. Ahead of TCU, in order of placement, were Le Sueur-Henderson, Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School, Sibley East and Waterville-Elysian-Morristown high schools.

Through puddles of water, soggy greens and cold temperatures, the TCU Golf Team held its invitational on Thursday, May 9 at the Montgomery National Golf Course.
With all of the golfers dressed in layers, winter hats, the Titans boys’ team finished in fourth place out of nine teams with 353 strokes. St. Peter won the meet with 315 strokes, followed by Jordan in second with a 332, and Waseca in third with a 344.

The New Prague Trojan adapted softball team split a pair of games last week, defeating South Suburban 11-7 and losing to Burnsville/Farmington/Lake ville 9-6.
The team, which includes athletes from New Prague, Tri-City United, Belle Plaine and Jordan schools, was scheduled to play at Minneapolis Tuesday and will host White Bear Lake in its final home game Thursday, May 9. New Prague is on the road for its final two games of the season, at Dakota United in Rosemount Tuesday, May 14, and facing Chaska/Chanahsssen/Prior Lake/Shakopee at Prior Lake Thursday, May 16.

After two weeks of play, only three teams - New Market, St. Patrick and Veseli, are undefeated in the Dakota-Rice-Scott League.
New Market defeated Webster and Prior Lake to go to 3-0, while St. Patrick topped Shakopee and Veseli defeated New Prague. Elko - which plays a partial league schedule - is at 1-0 after defeating Montgomery in its league opener.
The season gets into full swing this week, as 13 games are scheduled over the next seven days.

New Prague’s Adapted Softball team travelled to East Ridge High School Thursday, April 25, where they lost a 14-3 contest to the South Washington Thunderbolts.
New Prague just couldn't seem to get in the rhythm, coach Shellie Kriha said. “We allowed too many runs and didn't produce hits on offense,” she said.
South Washington took a 4-0 lead in the first, but New Prague got hits from Evan Minar and Shane Friedrick before Breanna Stark drove in the team’s first run.

Big innings led to big wins for three Dakota-Rice-Scott League baseball teams on the first day of the regular season Sunday, April 28.
New Market scored eight runs in the 11th inning to defeat St. Benedict 10-2, Prior Lake used a nine-run sixth to power their way to a 13-3 win over Shakopee and St. Patrick broke open a close game with a seven-run seventh inning to claim an 8-0 win over Lonsdale. Also on Sunday, Faribault defeated Webster 7-4, Veseli defeated Union Hill 4-3 and Montgomery registered a 4-0 win over New Prague.

The New Prague Trojans adapted softball team opened its season with a 12-5 loss to Chaska/Chanhassen/Shakope e/Prior Lake, then rebounded with a 15-5 win over South Suburban last week. Both games were at home.
The Trojans will play South Washington Thursday, April 25, at East Ridge High School in Woodbury, then play at South Suburban Tuesday, April 30, at Bloomington Jefferson. They return home Thursday, May 2, facing Burnsville/Farmington/ Lakeville.

The Dakota-Rice-Scott Baseball League begins its 73rd season Sunday, April 28, with six games on the schedule.
The league includes 13 teams - 12 of which are Class C teams. Elko is the lone Class B team. The Express will play each league team once, while the rest of the league will play a double round-robin schedule for a total of 23 league games.

Spot on pitching and an 11-run first inning led to the Tri-City United baseball team’s first win of the season in their home opener over Mayer Lutheran Monday in Le Center.
“They did a lot of things well,” said Titan’s coach Bruce Davis after the game. “They set a tone and came out ready to play. Overall it was very, very positive.”
The Titan pitching was lead by ace starter Kody Glende, who Davis said he believes is the best pitcher in the conference. “He came out focused and did everything I asked of him and more,” Davis said of Glende.

The New Prague Trojan adapted floor hockey team lost its semifinal game at the State Tournament Saturday, falling to eventual champion St. Cloud 12-1, but bounced back with a 9-1 win over Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville to claim third place. The team, which includes players from New Prague, Tri-City United, Le Sueur-Henderson, Belle Plaine and Jordan schools, ended its season with a 13-1 record. The Trojans' Blake Perry and Garret Gagner were named to the all-tournament team. Read more in the print edition.

The New Prague Trojan adapted floor hockey team won its opening game at the state tournament Friday, 18-2 over Anoka-Hennepin.
The Trojans led 8-0 after one period and were never threatened. Dylan Raaen had five goals and four assists for the Trojans.
New Prague will face defending state champion St. Cloud at noon Saturday at Bloomington Jefferson High School, and will play one more game later that afternoon, for either the championship or for third place. Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville and South Washington County will play in the other semifinal game.

The New Prague Trojan adapted floor hockey team will compete in the Minnesota State High School League Adapted Floor Hockey Tournament, which will be held Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16, at Bloomington Jefferson High School. The Trojan team, which includes players from New Prague, Tri-City United, Le Sueur-Henderson, Belle Plaine and Jordan schools, are 10-0 on the season, having defeated South Washington County in their regular season finale last week, 10-3, and then defeating Minnetonka/Wayzata in a state play-in game 12-2.

The New Prague Trojan adapted floor hockey team defeated Wayzata/Minnetnoka 12-2 Thursday, March 7, to earn a spot in the State CI Adapted Floor Hockey Tournament March 15-16 at Bloomington Jefferson High School.
The team, which is 10-0 on the season, enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed from the south, and will face Anoka-Hennepin at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Win or lose, they play at least one more game on Saturday.
The team includes students from New Prague, Tri-City United, Le Sueur-Henderson, Belle Plaine and Jordan schools.

The New Prague Trojan adapted floor hockey team defeated Stillwater and Burnsville/Farmington/Lakeville last week.
The Trojans are 8-0 and tied with South Washington County for the Southern Conference lead. The teams were scheduled to play their twice-postponed regular season finale Tuesday, March 5, in New Prague, with the winner getting the No. 1 seed for the playoffs.

The New Prague Trojan Adapted Floor Hockey Team will host the Wayzata/Minnetonka Lakers at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in a state play-in game. Game time is 4:30 p.m. in the CEC gym.
New Prague is the No. 1 seed in the south division. A win puts them in the state tournament, which will be played Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16, at Bloomington Jefferson High School.
The squad includes players from New Prague, Tri-City United, Le Sueur-Henderson, Belle Plaine and Jordan schools.

The Minnesota River Bulldogs were defeated by the East Grand Forks Green Wave in the Bulldogs’ first action of the Class A State Hockey Tournament on Thursday.
The co-op of Le Sueur-Henderson, St. Peter, Cleveland, Tri-City United and Belle Plaine high schools was outshot by the third-seeded Green Wave 43-21.
Senior forward Jade Reicks scored two second-period goals for Minnesota River that cut East Grand Forks’ lead to 3-2 going into the third period.
