Lanny F. Holzer, of Jordan passed away peacefully on March 5, 2020 at Oak Terrace Senior Living in Jordan at the age of 90. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10 from 4-7 pm at Ballard Sunder Funeral and Cremation in Jordan. Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, March 11 at 11am with visitation one-hour prior at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Father Neil Bakker will preside. Full military honors will be provided by the Jordan Veteran’s Honor Guard. Pall-bearers will be Lanny’s grandchildren. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Jordan.

Stanley J. Puncochar, age 92, of New Prague, died peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.  Stanley was born on April 30, 1927 in Cedar Lake Township, Scott County to Joseph F.

Richard J. “Dick” Eischens, age 88, of New Prague, died peacefully in the presence of his family on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Amara Hospice in Edinberg, Texas.  Dick was born on September 27, 1931 in New Prague to John and Mary (Svoboda) Eischens.  He attended St. Benedict Parochial School, graduated from New Prague High School, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of St. Thomas.  He worked for Northern States Power as the manager of the testing lab for 34 years.  He married the love of his life, Annette G.

Johnny Pasek, longtime resident of Prior Lake, passed away March 11, 2020 at the age of 80. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 17th at 11AM with a visitation at 9:30AM at Bethel’s Rock Church, 6300 212th Street West, Farmington. Johnny was laid to rest at Concord Hill Cemetery with Pastor Kent Boyum presiding.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Hallum, Roger Pasek, Mike Hallum, Stephen Pasek, Tom Raduenz, Jimmy Volek, Joe Volek, and Dawson Hallum. 

Heather M. Cotter, age 38, of New Prague, died unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 9, 2020.  Heather was born on April 7, 1981, in New Prague to Gregory S. and Sharleen G. (Beuch) Scheffler.  She graduated from New Prague High School and went on to complete courses in cosmetology.  She married the love of her life, Robert N. “Butch” Cotter, Jr. on April 27, 2007 at St.

Judy A. Prom, age 74, of Chaska, formerly of Jordan, died Sunday March 1st, 2020 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 10, 1945. Judy was the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Austin) Gardner.
Judy was a lover of life. The caring person that she was, it came as no surprise that she would study nursing for a time. She was well known as “Ma” or “Grandma” to everyone she met. When she wasn’t spending time in the garden nurturing her plants, she was nurturing her mind reading her many books...Judy was a Beautiful Soul.

Scott Richard Vig, Caske Taḣca Wihni Hokṡida “First born son who hunts for deer, Boy”, age 38 of Prior Lake, member of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community,   passed away accidentally Thursday, February 27, 2020 due to a terrible mechanical failure in Eden Prairie.
Scott was born on October 13, 1981 in St. Louis Park, the son of Charlie and Donna (Kraemer) Vig. He married Kristin Breault on October 6, 2007 at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake.

Larry Allen Edwards,  age 79, of New Prague,  MN passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Wednesday morning,  February 26th, 2020 at The Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.   A memorial gathering to celebrate Larry's life will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New Prague with Pastor Diane Goulson officiating.  It will be March 19th at 11am with a one hour visitation prior to the service.  Burial will be held at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery in Faribault,  MN at a later date. 

Evelyn L. Vlasak, 92, of Montgomery, died on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2020 at Mala Strana Rehabilitation Center in New Prague. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 28 at ­­­11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Tom Niehaus officiating with visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Montgomery.

Blake Ryan Asher, age 17, of Lonsdale, died tragically in a car accident on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.  Blake was born on November 7, 2002 in Northfield to Ryan P. Asher and Jennifer Kassa Jones.  He was raised in the Farmington/Lonsdale area and was currently a junior at Tri-City United (TCU) School, where he was a member of the speech club.  Blake was loved by everyone with his bubbly, funny, goofy personality.

Edward M. “Eddie” Dvorak, age 64, of Jordan died peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 16, 2020.  Eddie was born on January 25, 1956 in New Prague to Edward and Martha A.

Vicky Jo Martell (King) passed away on Friday, February 14th, 2020 in the comfort of her home.  She was 68 years old.  She is survived by her husband Kurt Martell and their children Allison, Bryce and Callie.

Clauson, Robert O. ,age 95, of New Hope, previously of Worthington and New Prague. Preceded in death by wife, Fern; parents, Ida and Edwin; siblings, Evelyn, Hazel, Mabel, Harold, John, and Paul; grandchildren, Karalyn Capriotti, and Naomi & Nathan Spores. He will be deeply missed by his children, Barbara Clauson (Robert Timm), Deborah Werth (Thomas), Roger (Cathy), Gary (Amy), Mary Spores (Ronald); 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ruth, Ellen, and Lois; many relatives and good friends.

Steven A. Flynn, 45 of Green Isle entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at his home in Green Isle, Minnesota, with his family by his side.
On August 1, 1974, Steven was born the son of John and Carol (McCollum) Flynn.  He grew up on the family farm in Green Isle and graduated from Sibley East High School in 1992.  After graduation, Steven worked at various positions including cooking at Emma Krumbee’s and local bars.  He also worked at Jordan Transformer and Medallion Kitchens, however, his main-stay was driving truck for Stier Trucking.

On January 28, 2020 Ann Ruehling lost her battle with cancer. We would like to invite family and friends to share their memories and stories of Ann on February 29th from 1:00 to 3:00 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Lillian “Molly” Tupy, 84, of Northfield, MN, died Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Three Links Care Center, Northfield.
Lillian Mary Schoenbauer was born on October 25, 1935 to Joseph and Ludmilla (Kes) Schoenbauer on the family farm in New Prague. She was raised there and attended St. Wenceslaus through the eighth grade. She continued to help on the farm for a few years before meeting Ben Vosejpka at a cousin’s wedding. They were married on September 22, 1953.
