Judy Cay Dohm, 66

November 11, 1955 – November 30, 2021
Judy Cay Dohm, age 66, fought a courageous three-year battle with Leukemia that ended on November 30th. She passed peacefully at the University of Minnesota Medical Center with her beloved cousin Lora at her side, and her family having had the opportunity to say their heartfelt, and all too soon, goodbyes. 

Bernadine Ardell Struck, 72

Bernadine Ardell Struck, 72, of Montgomery, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 30, 2021. The family is inviting friends to pay their respects on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Schoenbauer Funeral Home in Montgomery.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Frieden's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lanesburg. Interment will be held in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis at a later date.

Ruth Marie Barta, 89

Ruth Marie Barta, 89, of Montgomery passed away at The Villages of Lonsdale on Friday, December 3, 2021 surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 11, at 11 a.m. with visitation two hours prior at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery.
Ruth was born at home on the farm in Wheatland Township on July 14, 1932 to Joseph L. and Julia (Machacek) Tupy. She attended grade school in Veseli and graduated from New Prague High School.

Catherine “Cathy” Elizabeth (Brezina) Stenberg, 46

Catherine “Cathy” Elizabeth (Brezina) Stenberg, age 46 of Cokato, died at her home, surrounded by family, Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Cathy battled with brain cancer for 11 years.
Cathy Stenberg, the daughter of Roger and Le Ann (Seurer) Brezina, was born November 22, 1975 in Mankato.
Cathy attended schools in California, Colorado and graduated from New Prague High School in 1993. She then attended St. Cloud State where she received her AA Degree.

Dan King

It is with profound sadness that we regret to notify the world of the passing of Dan King, loved husband, admired father, and honored friend.  Dan died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at his home.   A proud member of the US Navy for 5 years, Dan was a Lieutenant and served as a naval aviator.
 Dan is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, his four sons, and many friends and colleagues.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

Linda L. Shelton, 64

Linda L. Shelton, age 64, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 28, 2021.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Malenke; sisters, Diane Hardekopf   and Elaine Borning.  She is survived by her husband, Gary Shelton; mother, Darlene Malenke; sisters, Cheryl Mathias, Pat Hochstein, and Judy Miller; and brothers, Roger Malenke and Dennis Malenke; many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and colleagues.

Rosalyn “Rosie” Agnes Nelson, 79

Rosalyn “Rosie” Agnes Nelson, age 79, of Jordan, passed away peacefully at her home on November 25, 2021. 
Rosie was born February 2, 1942, to Frank and Verena (Weckman) Lehnen. She attended St. John’s Catholic School in Jordan until eighth grade. While in grade school she was involved in school plays and sang in the church and school choir.  She graduated from Jordan High School in 1961.

Sidney Vikla, 90

A garden hoe, rake, wheel barrow, lawnmower, love of family, land, animals, and music describe Sidney. 
He married Betty Ann Prchal on May 21, 1957, at St. Scholastica Church in Heidelberg. While renting a house in Lonsdale, they purchased a farm south of Lonsdale, spending their first night there on November 6, 1958. Quickly, it became home, and neither of them ever thought of living anywhere else. 

Gary “The Reaper” Coopman, 65

Gary “The Reaper” Coopman, age 65, passed away at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato on November 24, 2021 following a brief illness.

Robert Steven Jirak, 57

Robert Steven Jirak, 57, of Elko, MN passed away due to complications of Covid Pneumonia on November 25, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital. He was born May 12, 1964, in New Prague, MN to Edwin and Rosemary (Srnec) Jirak.
Rob graduated from Northfield High School, Class of 1982. Following graduation, he went on to vocational school for Tool and Die and he worked in that field until 2006. In 2006 he changed his career to financial planning and he worked with Primerica Financial services up until the end.
