O’Meara, Gerald Vincent, age 85 of Rosemount passed away December 2, 2020. Preceded in death by his parents Vincent And Mary Adeline (Cashin) O’Meara; siblings, Mary (Dennis) Hagerty, Virginia (Gene) Stoering and James T. O'Meara; sister-in-law Jeanie O’Meara. Survived by his brothers, Leonard (Lavonne) and Patrick O’Meara; sister-in-law, Monica O'Meara. Also, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Robert F. Bastyr, age 78, of Jordan, died Sunday, November 29, 2020 due to complications of Covid 19 at VA Hospital in Minneapolis. Robert was born on September 7, 1942 in New Prague to Robert R. and Estellene M. (Rutt) Bastyr. He attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic School, graduated from New Prague High School, and attended Mankato Vocational School in mechanics. Always proud of his military service, Robert served in the US Army in Vietnam with the 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment, known as the Bobcats. He married Margaret A. “Margie” Bastyr on August 5, 1989 at St.
Gladhill, Rebecca (Riggs) of Shakopee MN. lost her 26 year battle with cancer to be with the Lord on Nov. 26, 2020 at the age of 69. She was raised in Evansville, Indiana where she enjoyed working on the family’s Jersey dairy farm with her siblings and many cousins. She was a 4-H member for 10 years and loved showing her cattle at local, regional, state and national shows. She graduated from F.J.
Jeron Pint, age 76 of Jordan, entered eternal life on Saturday, November 28, 2020. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Jordan, on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11AM. Father Neil Bakker will preside and Jeron’s wife, Marilyn, will act as his urnbearer.

Shirley Scheffert, 82, of Montgomery, passed away at her home on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.
Shirley was born on June 19, 1938, in New Prague to William and Helen (Kajer) Svobodny. She was a graduate of New Prague High School and St. Joseph’s Hospital in Mankato where she received her LPN nursing degree.
Shirley was united in marriage to Karl J. Scheffert on May 14, 1960, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in New Prague. Together, they raised five children: Mark, Scott, Mary Kaye, Donna and Susan.
Kathleen (Kay) Hartmann, age 81, of Jordan, MN, died peacefully in the presence of her family on November 19, 2020. Her influence as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, sibling and friend will be cherished. Nothing lit up Kay’s life more than when her children and grandchildren were around. They truly were her heartbeat and her legacy will live on through them.
Marcella A. Blaeser, 94, of Montgomery passed away Monday, Nov. 9 at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee. Public services are postponed until a later date. Private interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Marcella was born April 16, 1926, in Kimball, South Dakota to Joseph and Anna (McAvinney) Smith. She married Willard “Bill” Blaeser in January of 1952 and raised a family. She was known for her excellent tailoring. She loved horses, sewing, flowers, gardening and puzzles.
Bernice (Doyle) Schmidt, age 90 of Belle Plaine, MN passed away peacefully at her home of natural causes and a broken heart. Private Family Mass of Christian Burial (due to Covid-19) will be held on Wednesday, November 18th at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church with Burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Bernice attended school in Henderson, MN until 8th Grade and transferred to the University of Minnesota - School of Agriculture from Freshman to Senior Year where she graduated in 1947.
Milton J. “Milt” Vosejpka, age 89 of Faribault, MN passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at The Emeralds at Faribault following an extended illness.
Milton Joseph, the son of Frank and Rose (Barta) Vosejpka was born on May 2, 1931 in Lonsdale, MN. He attended Northfield High School and graduated with the class of 1949. On August 4, 1953 he was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Shields at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. After his marriage Milt served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955.
Iris Sullivan, 86, of Le Center, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020, at The Lodge in Elko New Market. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in St. Thomas with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11 a.m. Father Chris Shofner will be officiating.
